"Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."

School Supply Squad began assisting disadvantaged Arlington elementary students in 2000 with school supplies for students who cannot afford to purchase their own supplies, when there were 17 Title 1 schools.  The program has been well received by AISD, and has attempted to grow with the increase in underserved students and title 1 schools.  A primary mission of Arlington Kiwanis is to develop Arlington students, and they partnered with School Supply Squad with volunteers and donations in 2021, enabling The Squad to serve all Arlington students in need. We are now available to provide school supplies monthly to all 59 elementary and 7 Jr. High Title 1 schools in Arlington, delivering to about 50 different schools each year.

Arlington Urban Ministries' goal is to prevent homelessness, eviction, utility disconnection and hunger. Since 2001, our programs have helped with the most basic needs including: Financial Assistance, Homeless Prevention, Emergency Needs for the Homeless, Mobile Food Pantry, Nu2U Resale and Seasonal Assistance.

Over 25,000 homeless men, women and children have sought refuge at the Arlington Life Shelter over the past 35 years. The mission of Arlington Life Shelter is to promote self-sufficiency by providing shelter, employment programs and transitional services for North Texans impacted by homelessness. Arlington Life Shelter envisions a community where all individuals, families, and children affected by homelessness have access to the services and support necessary to restore ability and achieve personalized success.
