BUILDING A LEGACY OF FAITH BEYOND OUR WALLS
the journey begins
From our very first day, it has been clear that we have been called to be a legacy church. The legacy we carry is, first and foremost, rooted in the truth of scripture and the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit. This is the legacy that defines the heart of our mission. In the last two years we have seen God move and strengthen our church in amazing ways. By His power we have witnessed numerical growth, increased missional impact, professions of faith, and so much more. Now, we believe we are ready for the next step of the journey which is to purchase a church property.
Beyond a Building is an invitation to see God move in every facet of our church, not just in the acquisition of a building. Throughout this process our call to action will be to look beyond a financial commitment and discern where we each need to grow as followers of Christ. This journey is not always easy but please let me be clear, I BELIEVE GOD HAS A HOME FOR OUR CHURCH.
The Building Team has estimated that we will need a minimum of $1.5 million to secure a facility that will meet our current needs and give us room to continue growing. It's okay for this to feel like an impossible goal, because we serve a God who does the impossible. Did you know that we have already raised $159,000 that is specifically designated for a building? This is supposed to be impossible for a church our size.
But wait, God is just getting started. In the Spring of 2024, in response to the prompting of the Lord, we received a pledge of $500,000 to the church building fund. The donor shared how they had been sensing the Lord directing them for months to take this step of faith. They shared that this pledge is to be used as a matching gift for every dollar raised in the Beyond a Building campaign in hopes that the RGMCA body would be encouraged and challenged to take a bold step of obedience as God directs. This means every dollar you give to support the purchase of a building in this campaign is instantly doubled (up to $500,000).
That’s right, before a single financial commitment is made, God is making a way. He is doing so through the faithful obedience of His people. This is why acquiring a building has to be secondary to allowing God to continue His work in us. I firmly believe that if we can stay focused on our spiritual development, God will provide the resources for whatever is ahead.
